Message Hi Ravneet,

Others may have the same question, so I am also sending it
to the dev@sstree mailing list.

Basically, the tigris.org server itself is set up to assume all
project-specifici content is dynamic and is not normally cached.
That is usually fine, except that IE has a bug where it loads
each CSS background image once for every time that the image
is used. That can be _very_ slow and annoying.

So, on the tigris.org server itself, I moved the images to a special
location where they are considered static, and thus get the proper
HTTP cache-related headers: /branding/images/sstree/... Depending on
your application, you might decide to integrate SSTree in a
similar way.

When you use SSTree:
+ you should get the .css and image files from subdirectories
  in CVS: sstree/www/css and sstree/www/images
+ you should edit the .css and javascript to use new
(relative or absolute on your site) URLs to the images.
+ Please don't make your application get the images from
tigris.org every time that anyone uses your application.

If you simply view
http://sstree.tigris.org/nonav/example2.html
and use "Save as..." in IE, I believe that you will also get
all .css and image files saved and transformed to relative URLs.

I'd love to hear how you are using SSTree.

Thanks,
jason!
